Elderly Hearing Impairment Registration Program

The purpose of the registration program:     This program is designed to systematically record cases of hearing impairment in the elderly at the Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. Its goal is to detect and measure the spread of the disease in the community and enable the health system to better and more effectively monitor the quality of health care services provided. This system can also answer many questions about the prevalence, causes, severity of hearing loss, and types of hearing loss.

Study population:

The target population includes all elderly people with hearing loss and hearing disorders who have been referred to medical centers under the coverage of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences since the beginning of the program.
