Introduction

This Research Center was established in 2007 with the aim of creating a suitable platform for the research and production of science and technology and encouraging and supporting researchers at the national and international levels in the field of behavioral disorders and substance abuse. 

Goals and Vision

 Development and application of human knowledge in the field of behavioral science and substance abuse

1. Epidemiological and clinical research in order to improve the health services system of the country in order to meet the needs of the Islamic society
2. Collection, arrangement and categorization of documents, articles and publication
3. Training of human resources and researchers in the areas of mental health, behavioral sciences and psychiatry
4. Encouraging and employing researchers in relevant fields
5. Efforts to attract attention and cooperation of relevant research and development centers within the country
6. Scientific cooperation with research and educational centers of other countries and international organizations in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran

8. Material dependence, including :  Epidemiology and pathology,  Prevention, Therapeutic and supportive methods, High risk populations, Types of drugs and their consumption,  Co-morbidity

Behavioral Sciences, including: Psychiatry, Basic and Clinical Research of Psychology, Behavioral disorders, Lifestyle, Epidemiology and pathology of psychiatric diseases and behavioral disorders, High risk populations, Sociology of Diseases and Behavioral disorders, Different methods of treatment of behavioral and therapeutic disorders, Mental health, Legal Discuss and Crime, Basic Sciences Research related to psychiatric diseases and behavioral disorders.
